The Inn is located just off I-75 at the foot of the Mackinac Bridge, across the street from a lovely lakefront park, and an easy walk to downtown, restaurants, marinas and ferry terminal. We would stay there again when in Mackinaw.
The inn is directly accross from the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinac Fort, and light house. Beautiful view. Within walking distance to shopping and restraunts in downtown Mackinac City. Our room was very spacious and well cared for.
Our room had a strange incline in the floor directly in front of the bathroom. This was a bit of a challenge in the middle of the night if you needed to get up and were half asleep.
*View of bridge and water, cleanliness, and friendly staff
This hotel was very good for the price, room was clean and quiet. It was very easy to access from I-75. We only stopped here for one night on our way home to Saskatchewan, Canada.
We booked this hotel because it advertised a free hot breakfast with the booking. It did have the breakfast but upon check-in we were told not to come for breakfast until after 8:15 as they had a large group coming in early in the morning and there wouldn't be room for anyone else until after that. We needed to be on the road very early and thus were not able to get the breakfast, this was disappointing.
Staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate. View over the bridge to Mackinac Island was amazing.
A computer for guests to print out boarding passes would have been so helpful, even just a computer with internet at a small table, nothing fancy necessary. Extra pillows please! We slept horribly with nothing but 2 little flat pillows, and they gave them out to the other guests and there was not one extra pillow to be found in the place :(
Perfect location. We spent a fantastic night there, watching sunset in front of the hotel which is near the lake park.
The room was very clean, inviting, comfortable. Close to the pool which looked so inviting but did not have time to use IT,next time & lobby . a close walk to the park @ bridge which was very nice. The price of the room was good in comparison to other area hotels. Great meeting place for me to meet up with my sister from Wisconsin. Parkside Inn will be top of my list to check out & stay next year. I would rate Parkside inn bridgeview a 9.
The parking in the inner core of the complex was very tight. Our room was the outside room next to the bridge so was noisy from bridge semi traffic at night. We also had noise from the stair well next to the room. My sister had the next room in and she said it was quite, tv only had 4 channels. The lobby area where you eat breakfast looked tight for all their guests & you were not allowed to take any food out of that area. We did not use it.
The location is at the base of the Mackinac Bridge with a park across the street, which is on the water. Chairs are outside of each room so we could sit and watch the beautiful view of the Mackinac Bridge and boats in the Straits, especially beautiful at night with the bridge lights. The Parkside is also walking distance from Fort Michilamackinaw and the historic lighthouse. It is not in the touristy part of Mackinaw City, but is just a minute drive or a short bike ride from downtown and the ferrys. Rooms were very clean, and newer, with a fridge, coffee pot, and hairdryer. Staff was friendly. Would stay there again.
Disappointed with the breakfast. We expected a bigger "hot" breakfast selection. The "hot" breakfast consisted of warm hard boiled eggs, small biscuits, gravy, & instant oatmeal. There was also cereal, toast, bagels, and beverages.
We like the room & the balconie verry relaxing and verry good location.
What was missing is a fridge in the room & microwaive .
We were looking for a location by the bridge and we could not have been closer! The veiw at night from our private balcony was great...
The park was right across the street, which was very nice.
Well, frankly I would not book a room in this motel again. The room we stayed in was old, musty, and in need of clean carpet and new bedspreads. Just didn't seem clean for me. It is so close to the bridge and it was noisy all night long. A family had a room close to us and the baby cried a lot. This was a special time for us to get away and the motel was disappointing. I didn't expect the Waldorf Astoria, but I really was disappointed.
It was an attractive place and was in a good location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a small room the first night but when we asked for another room we were upgraded to a much larger room with a wonderful view of the lake. There was a small charge for the upgrade, but certainly not an unreasonable amount. It was our first time staying but we would stay there again if in the area.
Our first room was quite small and had limited amenities. However, we didn't inquire about the view, etc. so can't say we were misinformed. It was clean, but a little worn looking.
nice view to the Bridge and Park
the very poor breakfast for the price requested. the WIFI possibility did not work even after claim. Nightly screams of customers using the pool. Non respect of the customers. Smokers on the balcony.
It was right off the highway, easy access and easy to find. Walking distance restaurants and the ferry loading docks to go to Mackinaw Island, The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and efficient.
Pool was old but deep, 9'
Super tiney room with a high price
